Getting There

• Car

From the center of Gulf Shores, head east on AL-182 E (also known as E Beach Blvd) for about 5 miles. Turn left onto State Park Rd. Gulf State Park will be on your right after approximately 1 mile. Note that parking at the park may incur a fee, so be prepared for that.

• Public Transportation

  For those relying on public transportation, the Mobile Bay Ferry may be a good option if you are coming from the Mobile area. First, take a bus to the ferry terminal located at 1200 Bienville Blvd, Dauphin Island, AL. Once you've crossed Mobile Bay, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to Gulf State Park, as public transport options are limited. The taxi ride from the ferry terminal to Gulf State Park will typically cost between $30-$50, depending on traffic.

• Biking

  If you are feeling adventurous and are close enough, biking to Gulf State Park is a scenic option. There are bike paths that connect to the park, especially if you are in Gulf Shores. Follow the bike lane on AL-59 N until you reach the park entrance at 20115 State Park Rd. Remember to wear a helmet and be cautious of traffic. There are bike racks available at the park for secure parking.
