Driving
From I-20, take either Exit 191 or 199 slightly east of Oxford. Follow the signs toward Cheaha State Park or Talladega Scenic Drive. The Talladega Scenic Drive (Highway 281) is a 26-mile scenic highway through Talladega National Forest. The northern terminus is at the Shoal Creek Ranger Station in Heflin. It's approximately a 20-mile drive along the scenic highway to Cheaha State Park's entrance. After entering the park, follow the signs to the desired location, such as the Bunker Tower or Bald Rock. Park admission is $5 for adults (ages 12+), $2 for children (ages 4-11) and seniors (62+ with ID). Cash or credit cards are accepted at the gate. If the gate is closed, you can pay at the Mountain Store.
