Discover more about Foley Kids Park

Foley Kids Park, located on West Verbena Avenue in Foley, Alabama, is more than just a playground; it's a testament to community spirit and the importance of play. The park's history began with Sara Thompson, a second-grade teacher who spearheaded the creation of the original Kids Park in 2001. Over 500 volunteers from the community collaborated to build the original wooden structure, showcasing the city's commitment to providing recreational opportunities for families. After two decades, the original structure was replaced with a modern, inclusive design in May 2023. The rebuilt park retains the spirit of its predecessor while incorporating new and exciting features. Children can explore a colorful array of play structures, including castles, slides, bridges, and swings, all designed to spark creativity and encourage physical activity. Soft, resilient rubber flooring provides a safe landing, and accessible pathways and equipment ensure that children with disabilities can fully participate. Beyond the play structures, Foley Kids Park offers shaded picnic areas, walking paths, and benches for relaxation. Its location near the Max Griffin Pool and Foley Skate Park creates a central hub for family recreation. The park is open seven days a week, providing ample opportunity for families to enjoy its offerings.
