The story of Jefferson's began in 1991 in Jacksonville, Alabama, when a recent college graduate named Jeff decided his college town needed a local hangout. After securing a loan from his parents and selling his baseball card collection, he opened a small restaurant with a limited menu. The concept was an instant success, drawing crowds with its juicy burgers, fresh Gulf oysters, and, most notably, its delicious wings. Over the years, Jefferson's expanded its menu and developed a dedicated following. In 1999, Jeff partnered with a long-time employee, Sean McCooey, to grow the Jefferson's brand. The Gadsden location was purchased in 2017 by brothers David and Nick Carulla, who have continued the tradition of serving up quality food in a fun and inviting setting.
