    The Flame of Freedom is located on the grounds of the Alabama State Capitol, near the intersection of South Union Street and Washington Avenue. If you are already downtown, for example near the Rosa Parks Museum, the Flame of Freedom is an easy walk. Head east on Montgomery Street, then turn right onto Union Street. Walk south for two blocks; the Capitol Building will be on your left. The Flame of Freedom is on the southeast corner of the grounds.

From the Intermodal Center, the Alabama State Capitol is a 10 minute walk. Exit the Intermodal Center and head north on N Court St. Turn right onto Washington Ave, and the Alabama State Capitol will be on the right. A single ride on The M costs $1.50.
