Dismals Canyon is located at 901 County Road 8, Phil Campbell, AL 35581. From Russellville, Alabama, drive south on US-43/AL-17, then turn onto Highway 8. The canyon is approximately 12 miles south of Russellville. From Huntsville, Alabama, it's approximately a 90-minute drive southwest. Parking is free, but the lot is small and can fill up quickly, especially on weekends. Additional parking is available along the road. Be aware that there is a bridge just before the entrance that RVs and buses cannot cross.
