    From the Birmingham Museum of Art, walk north on 20th Street North for three blocks. Turn left onto 2nd Avenue North. Walk one block west. McWane Science Center will be on your right. Walking time is approximately 10 minutes. No cost.

  • Public Transport

    From the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC), take the MAX bus Route 20 or 28 Northbound. Get off at the 19th Street North and 2nd Avenue North stop. McWane Science Center will be directly across the street. The fare is $1.25 [https://www.bjcta.org/].

  • Driving

    From I-65 North, take exit 261 for 6th Avenue North. Turn right onto 6th Avenue North, then turn right onto 19th Street North. Drive south for approximately 0.4 miles. McWane Science Center will be on your left. Parking is available in the attached parking deck for $5 for non-members. Street parking is also available. Expect to pay around $7.75-$14.81 for nearby parking lots.
