Continue walking for approximately 1.5 miles. You will pass several local shops and cafes along the way, which may be a good place to stop for refreshments. As you approach the edge of Selma, you will see signs directing you to the Lowndes Interpretive Center. The center is located at 7002 US-80, Hayneville, AL 36040, approximately 3 miles outside of Selma. Be mindful of traffic as you approach the center.

    Start at the Selma Transit Center located at 1000 Alabama Avenue. Board the Selma Transit bus that is heading towards Montgomery. Inform the driver that you would like to get off at the Lowndes Interpretive Center. The bus will take you directly along US-80. Please check the bus schedule as the transit may not run frequently.
