Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Chattanooga Choo Choo, walk north on Market Street for approximately 0.6 miles. Turn right onto Broad Street, and the Tennessee Aquarium will be on your left. This walk is about 15 minutes. Alternatively, from the Hunter Museum of American Art, walk south along the riverfront towards the Walnut Street Bridge. Cross Broad Street, and you'll find the Aquarium on your right.

  • Public Transport

    CARTA's Downtown Electric Shuttle provides free transportation around downtown Chattanooga. The shuttle runs from the Chattanooga Choo Choo to the Tennessee Aquarium, with stops along the way. Check the CARTA website for the most up-to-date schedule. Several CARTA bus routes also stop near the Aquarium. A single ride fare is $1.75.

  • Driving

    From I-24, take Exit 178 for US-27 N. Follow signs for downtown and take the 4th Street exit. Turn left onto Broad Street. Several paid parking lots are available near the Aquarium. Parking costs range from $9 for 0-3 hours, $12 for 3-5 hours, and $14 for all-day parking. Parking after 4 PM is $10. Free parking can be found at 200 West Aquarium Way.
