The Cloud, or Reja, is a unique and interactive art installation located in front of Tirana's National Gallery of Arts. Originally commissioned for the Serpentine Gallery in London in 2013 and moved to Tirana in 2016, it has become a symbol of the city's blend of modern innovation and rich heritage. Designed by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto, The Cloud resembles a giant, semi-transparent cloud constructed from a delicate network of white steel bars. Visitors are encouraged to interact with the artwork, climbing on top or finding a seat underneath, offering unique perspectives of the city. The structure's footprint is 350 square meters, providing shelter while allowing visitors to remain connected to the surrounding landscape.The Cloud serves as a modern art space, hosting various cultural events and exhibitions, making it a vibrant hub for both locals and tourists. During the warm summer evenings, it transforms into an atmospheric stage for musicians and theater performances. The pavilion is intended as a free social space.
