    The Tomb of Kapllan Pasha is located in the city center, near Skanderbeg Square. From the square, walk east along Rruga 28 Nëntori. The tomb will be on your right, set back slightly from the street. There is no entrance fee.

Constructed in 1817, this monument is dedicated to Kapllan Pasha, who governed Tirana during the early 19th century. The tomb offers a glimpse into the city's Ottoman past and stands as a testament to the rich cultural heritage of the region.The tomb features a distinctive octagonal shape, adorned with eight carved stone columns resting on stone bases. The columns are topped with plant motif capitals, showcasing the intricate craftsmanship of the era. These columns support arches, adding to the architectural significance and aesthetic appeal of the structure. The structure is open, without a roof or dome.Historically, the tomb was part of a larger cemetery complex associated with Tirana's first mosque. This complex included six similar monumental tombs, but they were destroyed during World War II, leaving Kapllan Pasha's tomb as the sole survivor. Although Kapllan Pasha was initially buried here, his remains were later moved to Istanbul, Turkey. The Municipality of Tirana has undertaken efforts to restore the tomb, ensuring its preservation for future generations.
