Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the center of Gjirokastër, start at the main square (Sheshi Çameri). From there, head southeast on Rruga Shkodrani for about 300 meters until you reach the intersection with Rruga Gjin Zenebisi. Turn right onto Rruga Gjin Zenebisi and walk for another 200 meters. You will see the Ethnographic Museum on your left, just before you reach the large stone castle.

    If you are near the Gjirokastër Castle, exit the castle grounds and walk down towards the main road (Rruga Ismail Kadare). Turn left and head north for about 400 meters. Then, take a right onto Rruga Gjin Zenebisi and walk for another 100 meters. The Ethnographic Museum will be on your right, just past the park.

    From the bus station in Gjirokastër, exit the station and head towards Rruga 18 Shtatori. Walk straight for about 600 meters until you reach the junction with Rruga Shkodrani. Turn left onto Rruga Shkodrani and continue for another 200 meters. Turn right onto Rruga Gjin Zenebisi, and the Ethnographic Museum will be on your left after approximately 100 meters.
