Walking
From the center of Gjirokastër, head towards the main road (Rruga Ismail Qemali). Walk east until you reach the bus station (Stacioni i Autobusëve). This is about a 15-minute walk. Once at the bus station, look for buses heading to Sarandë. The journey to Sarandë will take approximately 1 hour. Upon arrival in Sarandë, disembark at the main bus stop. From there, you can either take a local taxi or walk to The Blue Eye. If walking, head towards the coast on Rruga Butrinti and then follow the signs leading to The Blue Eye, which is approximately a 30-minute walk.
Bus
Start at the main square in Gjirokastër, and make your way to the bus station (Stacioni i Autobusëve) which is located about a 15-minute walk away. At the bus station, purchase a ticket for a bus to Sarandë. The buses usually run every hour, so check the schedule. The bus ride will take about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Sarandë, get off at the main bus terminal. From there, you can either take a taxi or walk to The Blue Eye. If you choose to walk, head along Rruga Butrinti towards the coast, then follow the signs to The Blue Eye, which is roughly a 30-minute stroll.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Gjirokastër to The Blue Eye. You can find a taxi at various points in the city, including the main square or ask your hotel to call one for you. The taxi ride will take approximately 40 minutes, and the driver will take you directly to The Blue Eye. Make sure to agree on a price before you start your journey.
