Liqeni i Dushkut, or Oak Lake, is a serene glacial lake located close to the town of Gramsh in Albania. Situated at the northwestern foot of Komiani Mountain, it sits 1105 meters above sea level. The lake itself stretches approximately 800 meters in length and 400 meters in width, creating a stunning natural mirror reflecting the surrounding landscape.
The lake's ecosystem is rich and diverse, featuring large white water lilies that add a magical touch to the setting. The surrounding pine forests, which extend over approximately 12 hectares, contribute to the area's biodiversity, making it attractive for nature lovers and researchers. The lake is also known as the Lake of Water Lilies.

Getting There
Car
From the center of Gramsh, head west on R82. Continue for about 6.5 kilometers until a fork, keeping right to stay on R82 and follow signs for Liqeni i Dushkut. After approximately 10 kilometers, a sign indicates the turnoff; turn left onto an unpaved road for about 1 kilometer to reach the lake. Parking is available nearby. There are no tolls or parking fees.
Public Transport
From Gramsh, take a minibus to Elbasan from the main bus station; these leave frequently. The fare is approximately 200-300 Albanian Lek. In Elbasan, transfer to a minibus heading towards Gramsh or directly to the area near Liqeni i Dushkut. Inform the driver of your destination to be dropped off at the closest point, from which you may need to walk about 1 kilometer. The total cost is around 400-600 Lek.
