    Tyrbja e Kapllan Pashës, or the Tomb of Kapllan Pasha, is a significant historical landmark located in the center of Tirana, Albania. Constructed in 1817, this monument serves as a reminder of the city's Ottoman past, honoring Kapllan Pasha, who governed Tirana in the early 19th century.Originally, the tomb was part of a larger cemetery complex associated with Tirana's first mosque. This complex included six similar monumental tombs, but they were destroyed during World War II, leaving Kapllan Pasha's tomb as the sole survivor. The tomb's octagonal shape features eight carved stone columns resting on stone bases, topped with plant motif capitals. These columns support arches, showcasing the craftsmanship of the era.Kapllan Pasha was initially buried here, but his remains were later moved to Istanbul, Turkey. The tomb has been restored over the years and is now a Cultural Monument of the first category by the Albanian government. Today, Tyrbja e Kapllan Pashës stands in contrast to the modern buildings surrounding it, serving as a reminder of Tirana's layered history.
