From Lezhë, take a bus towards Tale. Buses depart from the main bus station in Lezhë. The journey to Tale takes approximately 30 minutes. From Tale, Kune-Vain-Tale Reserve is about 5 km away. You can take a local taxi for around 500-800 ALL. Alternatively, you can walk from Tale to the reserve in about 1 hour.

If you are in Tale, you can walk to Kune-Vain-Tale Reserve. From the center of Tale, head towards the Kune area, following road signs. The walk is roughly 5 km and takes about 1 hour. Ensure you have comfortable shoes and water.
Car

From Kurbin, head towards the SH1 highway. Follow signs for the SH1 road and drive for approximately 10 km. At the junction near Tale, turn left towards Kune. Continue straight for about 5 km; you will see signs for Kune-Vain-Tale Reserve. Parking is available in designated areas. Expect to pay 200 Lekë for the car entrance fee.

Kune-Vain-Tale Reserve is a captivating nature park located in Lezhë County, Albania, where the Drin River delta meets the Adriatic Sea. Spanning 43.93 km², this reserve encompasses Kunë Island, the Kune-Vain Lagoon, woodlands, and diverse ecosystems. Established initially as a hunting reserve in 1930s by King Zog I, it became Albania's first protected area. The current nature reserve was established in 2010.The reserve is known for its rich biodiversity, with approximately 277 plant species and 341 animal species. Birdlife International recognizes it as an Important Bird Area, with almost 200 bird species recorded, including flamingos and the endangered Ferruginous duck. The varied terrain includes lush forests, serene lagoons, and a picturesque coastline.Visitors can enjoy hiking, birdwatching, and exploring the scenic beauty. The reserve offers a peaceful atmosphere, ideal for relaxation and connecting with nature. Walking paths provide access to various habitats, and lookout towers offer panoramic views. The best times to visit are during spring or early autumn for mild weather and vibrant nature. Mosquito spray is recommended during warmer months.
