Car
From Shkodër, take the SH1 road heading south towards Kukës. Continue on SH1 for about 50 kilometers until you reach the town of Kukës. In Kukës, follow signs for the SH22 road towards Valamara. The drive from Kukës to Valamara will take approximately 30 minutes, and the road is scenic with views of the mountains. Please note that there may be a toll on SH1, so keep some Albanian Lek cash on hand for this.

Board a bus from Shkodër to Kukës. The buses leave regularly throughout the day from the main bus station in Shkodër. The journey lasts about 1.5 hours and costs around 300 Lek per person.
