Walking
From the center of Himara, head towards the beach and follow the main pedestrian path leading uphill towards Himara Castle. The walk is approximately 2.5 kilometers and takes about 30-45 minutes, offering scenic coastal views. Be prepared for a steep incline.
Public Transport
From Himara's central bus station, take a local bus or minibus heading towards Dhermi or Saranda. Inform the driver you wish to get off at Himara Castle. The bus fare is approximately 100-200 Albanian Lek (ALL). From the bus stop on the SH8 highway, walk approximately 200 meters uphill to reach the castle entrance.
Taxi
Taxis are available in Himara. Negotiate a fare with the driver to Himara Castle. A typical taxi ride from the town center to the castle costs around 500-700 ALL. The ride takes about 10 minutes.
Driving
From the center of Himara, navigate to the SH8 road. Follow the signs towards Himara Castle, located approximately 2.5 kilometers from the town center. There is a free parking area near the castle entrance, but it can be crowded during peak season.
