Getting there

Walking

If you're near the Kasbah, head north towards Rue des Frères Abderrahmane. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Boulevard Colonel Krim Belkacem. Turn right and walk for about 15 minutes. Beyrouth Parc will be on your right. There is no cost for walking.

Public Transport

From the Algiers Opera, walk to the nearest bus stop. Take bus number 7 heading toward 'Khaled Ibn El Walid'. After 5 stops, get off at 'Belouizdad'. From the bus stop, walk approximately 8 minutes straight down Boulevard Colonel Krim Belkacem. Beyrouth Parc will be visible on your left as you approach. The bus fare is approximately 30 DZD.

Taxis are readily available throughout Algiers. A short taxi ride to Beyrouth Parc from the city center typically costs between 150 and 300 DZD, depending on traffic. Beyrouth Parc, also known as Beirut Garden, is a cherished green space in the heart of Algiers. Situated in the Télemly neighborhood of Algiers-Centre, the park provides a peaceful retreat from the city's busy atmosphere.Originally named parc Mont-riant, it was gifted to the municipality of Algiers in 1936 by a French woman named Janon, who wished to share the beautiful garden with the community. Today, Beyrouth Parc features a variety of trees, including pines and olive trees, as well as colorful flowers like irises and jasmines.The park offers well-maintained walking paths, open green spaces, and seating areas, making it perfect for leisurely strolls, picnics, and family outings. Recreational facilities, including playgrounds, make it family-friendly. The park also hosts occasional cultural events and exhibitions, showcasing Algerian art and traditions.In addition to its natural beauty, Beyrouth Parc is home to the Musée de l'Enfance (Children's Museum), housed in a former Moorish house. The museum offers fun and educational activities for young visitors.
