    From Algiers, take the A1 highway towards Blida. Continue on the A1 until you reach Blida, then follow signs towards Chréa National Park. The park is located approximately 50 km southwest of Blida. Parking is available at the park entrance. Expect the drive to take around 1 hour and 24 minutes. There may be a small entrance fee in Algerian Dinars.

Chréa National Park, established in 1983, spans approximately 260 square kilometers within the Tell Atlas Mountains. The park's diverse terrain features steep slopes, deep valleys and peaks reaching over 2,000 meters, offering scenic views of the Mediterranean coastline. The park is renowned for its dense Atlas cedar forests, some of the oldest wooded areas in Algeria, along with cork oak, holm oak, pine and juniper trees. These forests provide habitat for diverse wildlife, including the Barbary macaque, Atlas hare, wild boar, eagles, hawks and owls. Visitors can explore well-marked hiking trails, enjoy picnics, and in winter, experience skiing at one of Africa's few ski resorts. Noteworthy attractions include the grotto of Chiffa, Monkey Creek, the Fern Pass trail, and the Chiffa Gorges.
