Unlike the Pont de Paris, its counterpart in the city, the Pont de Madrid boasts a distinctive spherical structure at the top, measuring 4 meters in diameter. This sphere acts as an anchor for the cables that support the bridge deck, which are attached to a concrete piece embedded in the rock on one side. The bridge plays a crucial role in improving access to Andorra la Vella from the south, carrying the CG1 road towards the Spanish border. Its geometric design, characterized by triangular shapes, reflects a desire to integrate with the terrain while optimizing traffic flow.
