Getting There

  • Public Transport

    To reach Refugi de les Fonts using public transport, start by taking either the L5 or L6 bus from Andorra la Vella or Escaldes-Engordany to La Massana. Get off at the "Centre Vila" stop, which is in front of the La Massana Cable Car building. From there, take the La Massana cable car up. Once at the top, follow the marked hiking trail towards Refugi de les Fonts; the hike will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. A single La Massana local bus trip costs €1. Cable car fees are additional.

  • Walking

    For a more adventurous approach, hike from the village of Arinsal. Begin at the Church of Sant Andreu in Arinsal and follow the path into the woods. Keep an eye out for trail markers. The hike takes around 2 to 3 hours, depending on your pace. Ensure you have appropriate hiking shoes, water, and snacks. Alternatively, start from the main square in Arinsal and walk towards the Arinsal Ski Lift (Telecabina d'Arinsal). Take the lift to the top station, 'La Caubella,' and follow the marked hiking trail to Refugi de les Fonts, about 1.5 to 2 hours.

    From Sant Julia de Loria, take the CG-1 road towards La Massana. At the roundabout in La Massana, take the exit for the CG-3 road towards Arinsal. Continue on CG-3 for approximately 3 km, then look for signs for 'Refugi de les Fonts'. Park in the designated area nearby. Parking fees may apply depending on the season. From the parking area, follow the marked trails to Refugi de les Fonts.
