Getting there

Public Transport

From Andorra la Vella, take the L3 or L4 bus towards El Tarter. The bus journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the 'El Tarter' bus stop. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the TSD4 El Tarter lift station. Bus fare is less than €4.

Walking

From the center of El Tarter village, walk towards the main road (Carretera General 2). The TSD4 El Tarter lift station is easily visible from the village center. Follow the signs for the lift. The walk is generally short and easy, taking no more than 10 minutes.

Taxi

From Andorra la Vella, a taxi to El Tarter will cost approximately €30-€35. The taxi will drop you off directly at the TSD4 El Tarter lift station. Ensure the taxi driver knows you want to go to El Tarter ski lift.

Parking

If driving, there are parking options available in El Tarter. Some hotels offer parking for a fee, around €12-€18 per day. There may be free parking available, but it can fill up quickly, especially during peak season. From the parking area, follow signs to the TSD4 El Tarter lift station.

TSD4 El Tarter is a four-person detachable chairlift located in El Tarter, within the Andorran parish of Canillo. As part of Grandvalira, the largest ski area in the Pyrenees, it provides access to a wide variety of slopes and trails. The lift carries visitors from the base of El Tarter to the upper reaches of the mountain, granting access to other lifts and sectors within Grandvalira.In winter, TSD4 El Tarter is a vital access point for skiers and snowboarders looking to explore Grandvalira's extensive terrain. The lift provides access to beginner areas, as well as intermediate and advanced slopes. From the top, one can reach the Tosa Espiolets and Llosada chairlifts, which connect to Canillo, Soldeu and Encamp.During the warmer months, TSD4 El Tarter provides access to hiking trails, allowing visitors to experience the biodiversity of the region. The surrounding landscape transforms with each season, offering unique experiences year-round.El Tarter itself is a charming village with a relaxed atmosphere. It serves as a convenient base for exploring Grandvalira and the surrounding natural beauty of Andorra.
