Pont Tibetà Canillo: A High-Altitude Thrill

The Pont Tibetà Canillo, or Canillo Tibetan Bridge, is a must-see attraction in Andorra for those seeking breathtaking views and a thrilling experience. Opened in June 2022, this impressive minimalist structure stretches 603 meters across the Vall del Riu, suspended 158 meters above the ground. As one of the longest Tibetan bridges in the world, it provides an unparalleled vantage point to admire the majestic mountains and lush valley of Andorra. The bridge's design allows pedestrians to cross in both directions, with a width of approximately one meter. The experience involves not only crossing the bridge itself but also a scenic 900-meter walk from the bus stop through the beautiful Andorran landscape. The bridge can support up to 600 people, but the number of visitors is limited to 165 per hour. Located at an altitude of 1,875 meters, the bridge is accessible by bus from Canillo village or the Roc del Quer Viewpoint. Tickets can be purchased online or at the Canillo Tourist Office. A visit to the Pont Tibetà Canillo can be combined with a trip to the Mirador Roc del Quer, another famous viewpoint in Andorra.
