Vall d'Incles: A Hiker's Paradise
Discover Vall d'Incles, Andorra's premier hiking destination, with stunning landscapes, tranquil nature, and trails for all skill levels.
Vall d'Incles, located between El Tarter and Canillo, is one of the most beautiful natural spots in the Pyrenees. Its U-shape reveals its glacial origins. The valley is easily accessible and offers a variety of activities, including hiking, picnicking, and wildlife spotting. The valley boasts diverse flora and fauna, with vibrant wildflowers in spring and fiery foliage in autumn. Keep an eye out for local wildlife, including deer and various bird species. Several hiking trails cater to all skill levels, from leisurely walks along the river to more challenging routes leading to alpine lakes such as Estany de Juclà and Estany de Cabana Sorda. For a gentle walk, try the Camí de l'Obac, a nearly flat path that follows the river. More challenging routes lead to the Siscaró lakes or the Incles Mountain Pass, which crosses into France. The valley is particularly popular in summer when vehicle access is restricted to preserve its tranquility. During this time, an electric bus provides transport through the valley.
