Roc de les Bruixes, or the Rock of the Witches, is a historical landmark steeped in Andorran folklore. According to local tales, it was a gathering place for witches, and some stories suggest the rock was used for rituals and ceremonies.The site features prehistoric rock engravings dating back to the Bronze Age, Iberian era, and early Middle Ages, with interpretations suggesting a funerary sanctuary. These engravings, covering about 2 square meters, are considered among the earliest evidence of writing in Andorra. Some researchers propose that certain carvings may be remnants of Iberian script. The carvings include linear shapes, pentacles, and cupolas.Today, Roc de les Bruixes invites tourists to explore its scenic trails and soak in the panoramic views of the Pyrenees.
