This via ferrata, or 'iron path,' allows climbers to ascend a mountain using a system of fixed cables, ladders, and other supports. The Canal de la Mora is designed to be accessible to climbers of varying skill levels, making it a favorite for families, groups, and individual adventurers.The route itself follows a scenic canal, offering stunning views of the Andorran Pyrenees as you climb. The combination of vertical ascents, traverses, and natural beauty creates an unforgettable and rewarding experience. The climb is approximately 400 meters long, with an elevation gain of 200 meters. Depending on the chosen route, the difficulty ranges from K1 to K4, with the standard route rated K2, making it suitable for beginners. Seasonally, climbers may encounter water or ice along the route.Along the way, climbers encounter a variety of challenges, including vertical climbs and thrilling traverses. About two-thirds of the way up, there are route options of varying difficulty. One can stay in the gully for a relatively easy climb (K1/K2), traverse a polished slab using spaced rungs (K2+/K3-), or scale a vertical wall (K4). Upon completion, many climbers continue to the Roc del Quer viewpoint, known for its panoramic views.
