Nestled in the charming village of Pal, in the parish of La Massana, Andorra, the Església de Sant Climent de Pal stands as a remarkable example of Romanesque architecture. Believed to have been constructed in the late 11th or early 12th century, this historic church offers visitors a glimpse into Andorra's rich cultural and religious past. Despite undergoing renovations in the 17th and 18th centuries, the church retains many of its original Romanesque features. The three-story Lombard-style bell tower is particularly noteworthy, featuring unique double mullioned windows on the top floor, a feature found nowhere else in Andorra. The church has a rectangular nave and largely preserves its original Romanesque walls. The apse, however, was rebuilt in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. Inside, visitors can admire a granite baptismal font, a 13th-century Romanesque statue of the Virgin of the Remei, and an altarpiece dedicated to Pope Saint Clement. The church's interior also features gothic mural paintings dating from the 16th century.
