The Església de Sant Cristòfol d'Anyós, a Romanesque church in Anyós, La Massana, offers visitors a glimpse into Andorra's rich cultural and religious heritage. Constructed in the 12th century, the church has undergone several transformations, with the apse and north wall retaining most of their original Romanesque features. The church's architecture is characterized by simple, elegant lines and rough-cut stone. Inside, the church features a mix of Gothic and Baroque paintings, including a 13th-century Franco-Gothic depiction of the Last Supper. Although original Romanesque murals were removed in the early 20th century, the remaining artwork and peaceful ambiance create a reflective space. The church's bell tower is unique as the only example of a bell tower in the middle of a roof in the country. Standing at an elevation of 1,307 meters, the church provides stunning views of the valley towards Escaldes-Engordany, and the villages of Sispony, La Massana and Ordino. Saint Christopher is the patron saint of drivers and travelers, and the church holds a blessing ceremony for vehicles every July 10th, a festivity of cultural interest. The Cultural Heritage of Andorra recognized the church as an asset of cultural heritage on July 16, 2003.
