The thoroughfare housing the fountain, now Carrer Doctor Palau, was originally named Carrer dels Cavallers (Knight's Street), highlighting its importance as a trade and mobility artery.Constructed in 1866, the spring showcases Andorra's traditional emphasis on utility and communal values. Its design is simple and pragmatic, featuring two taps set within a stone wall that feed water into a carved stone basin.
