From Cabinda city, drive east on the EN-100 towards Buco Zau. After approximately 50 km, look for signs indicating Floresta do Mayombe and turn onto the dirt road leading to the forest entrance. Be cautious on the bumpy dirt road. Parking fee at the entrance is around 500 Kwanza.
Public Transport
From Cabinda city, take a public bus to Buco Zau from the main bus terminal. Buses generally run every hour, and the fare is approximately 1,000 Kwanza. Upon reaching Buco Zau, take a local taxi or a motorcycle taxi ('mototaxi') to the entrance of Floresta do Mayombe for about 500 Kwanza. Confirm bus schedules in advance.

Catch a taxi from Cabinda city to Buco Zau from taxi stands or by hailing one. The fare to Buco Zau will cost around 2,000 Kwanza. In Buco Zau, hire another local taxi or a motorcycle taxi for a short ride to the entrance of Floresta do Mayombe, costing an additional 500 Kwanza. Negotiate the fare before starting your ride.
