Getting there

Walking

From Caota, Morro do Sombreiro is accessible by following the main road inland. The walk is approximately 3km and takes around 45 minutes. Be prepared for a moderately challenging uphill hike on unpaved trails for the final ascent.

Taxi

Taxis are readily available in Benguela and can take you to the base of Morro do Sombreiro. A taxi ride from the city center will cost approximately 1500-2000 Kwanza. From the drop-off point, there is still a short hike to the summit.
