Getting There

    From St. John's, take a bus heading towards Liberta. The bus fare is approximately EC$2. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach the vicinity of Mount Obama. From the drop-off point, it's about a short walk to the trailhead.

    Hire a taxi from St. John's to the Mount Obama trailhead. The taxi ride takes about 15 minutes, depending on traffic. Arrange a pickup time with the driver, as taxis may not be readily available in the area. A one way trip will cost approximately $20-25 USD.

  • Driving

    From St. John's, drive south along Valley Road until you reach the village of Jennings. Continue through Jennings and turn left at the first bus stop onto a dirt track for about a mile. A 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Park in the grass area before the metal gates and walk 300 meters to the trail.

Formerly known as Boggy Peak, it was renamed on August 4, 2009, in honor of Barack Obama, the first Black president of the United States.
