Getting There

Walking
Start at the Falmouth Harbour Marina. Head southeast towards the main road, Dockyard Drive. Once you reach Dockyard Drive, turn left and walk along the road. Continue on Dockyard Drive for about 1 kilometer until you see the entrance to Nelson's Dockyard on your right. You can enter the dockyard to explore or continue straight. After passing Nelson's Dockyard, stay on Dockyard Drive until you reach the junction with English Harbour Road. At the junction, turn right onto English Harbour Road. Walk for approximately 300 meters, and you will see a sign for Middle Ground Trail on your left, just before you reach the area known as English Harbour. Follow the trailhead which leads you to the hiking area.

Bicycling
If you are renting a bicycle, start from the Falmouth Harbour Marina. Cycle southeast towards Dockyard Drive. When you reach Dockyard Drive, turn left and follow the road. Continue cycling for about 1 kilometer until you reach the entrance of Nelson's Dockyard. You can choose to stop here for a visit. After Nelson's Dockyard, continue on Dockyard Drive until you encounter the junction with English Harbour Road. Turn right onto English Harbour Road and cycle for about 300 meters. Look for the sign indicating the entrance to Middle Ground Trail on your left, right before reaching English Harbour.

From Falmouth, take a local bus or shuttle heading towards English Harbour. Ask the driver to drop you off at the English Harbour main square. Once you arrive, walk towards English Harbour Road and follow it for about 300 meters. Look for the Middle Ground Trail sign on your left. The trailhead will be easily accessible from the road.
