Car
Starting from Fig Tree Drive, head north towards the intersection with Sir George Walter Highway (A1). Turn left onto Sir George Walter Highway and continue for about 10 kilometers. Once you reach the roundabout, take the second exit to stay on Sir George Walter Highway. After approximately 2 kilometers, you will see signs for Crabbs. Turn right onto the Crabbs Road and follow that road until you reach Crabbs. From there, navigate towards the coordinates 47RH+C6P, Crabbs (Hells Gate Island). The last stretch will involve a short drive to the waterfront area where you may need to park your car.
Public Transportation
From Fig Tree Drive, look for a local bus or minivan heading towards St. John's. You can catch one at designated bus stops along the main road. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Crabbs. The fare is usually around $2-3 EC. Once you arrive in Crabbs, you may need to walk to the waterfront area to access Hells Gate Island, which is approximately a 10-15 minute walk from the bus stop.
Boat
After reaching the waterfront area in Crabbs, you will need to hire a local boat to take you to Hells Gate Island. You can inquire at local docks or ask locals for boat services. The cost for a boat ride may vary, but expect to pay around $20-30 EC per person for a round trip. Ensure to negotiate the return trip with the boat operator beforehand.
