    If you're on a budget, you can take a public bus from St. John's to Jolly Harbour and then walk or take a short taxi ride to Darkwood Beach. Buses leave from the West Bus Station in St. John's. The bus fare to Jolly Harbour is around 3 XCD. From Jolly Harbour, you can walk south along Valley Road for about 45 minutes or take a taxi for approximately $10-15 USD.
