Getting There

• Walking

  Starting from the heart of St. John's, head towards the waterfront area. Make your way to Long Street and continue straight until you reach the junction with Market Street. Turn left onto Market Street and follow it until you reach the intersection with the main road, which is Sir George Walter Highway. Cross the highway at the pedestrian crossing and continue straight onto the road that leads towards Cedar Grove. Keep walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers, passing local shops and eateries on your way. As you approach Dickenson Bay area, look for signs directing you to the beach, and follow them until you arrive at Dickenson Bay Beach. The beach will be on your right.

• Public Transport

  From St. John's, locate the bus terminal near the city center. Board a bus that is heading towards Dickenson Bay or Cedar Grove. These buses are typically marked with their destination on the front. The bus ride should take approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at the stop closest to Dickenson Bay Beach, disembark and walk in the direction of the beach, which should be visible from the bus stop. Follow the signs pointing to the beach, and you will reach your destination in a few minutes.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi from any location in St. John's. Simply find a local taxi, which you can hail on the street or find at designated taxi stands. Inform the driver that you would like to go to Dickenson Bay Beach. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive, the taxi can drop you off right at the entrance to the beach area.
