From Puente del Inca, you can walk or take a short taxi ride (approx. ARS 2,000-3,000) to the Aconcagua Provincial Park entrance at Horcones. Bus fare: ARS 5,000-8,000 one way.

    Drive west from Mendoza on National Route 7 towards the Chilean border. The park entrance is located near Horcones, about 185 km (115 miles) from Mendoza. Parking is available at the Horcones visitor center. Be aware of potential road closures during winter due to snow. There is a toll on Route 7; the cost is approximately ARS 300-500. Parking at the park is free.

    From the Horcones entrance, various trails lead into the park. The Laguna de Horcones trail is a short, easy walk to a viewpoint of Aconcagua's south face.
