Getting There

Public Transport

From downtown Bariloche, take MiBus Route 55 or 55B directly to Cerro Catedral. The ride takes approximately 35 minutes, with buses running hourly. Check the local schedules for seasonal changes. A SUBE card is required to pay the bus fare. The cost is approximately AR$ 200-300.
Taxi/Remise

Driving

From downtown Bariloche, drive west along Av. Ezequiel Bustillo until you see the turnoff for 'Acesso Cerro Catedral'. Follow the road for about 12 km to the ski resort parking areas. Parking is available, with Playa Sur offering a paved lot for a fee. Free parking is available at Playa del Valle, further down the road, with shuttle services to the base area. Parking costs vary.

For over 80 years, Catedral Alta Patagonia has been a popular winter destination, attracting thousands of visitors with its combination of sports, nature, and stunning Patagonian scenery.Cerro Catedral boasts a skiable area of 6 km² and a trail network of 120 km. The resort offers diverse terrain for all skill levels: 15% beginner, 60% intermediate, 20% advanced, and 5% expert runs. There are 40 lifts, including the modern Sextuple detachable chairlift, with a theoretical capacity of 35,000 skiers per hour. However, some lifts are older, which can lead to longer lines. The ski season typically runs from June to October, with the best snow conditions in August and September.Beyond skiing and snowboarding, Catedral Alta Patagonia offers a variety of activities, including snowshoeing, snowcat adventures, and a terrain park. The base village has a range of services, including ski schools, equipment rentals, restaurants, and shops. Après-ski options are plentiful, with bars and cafes offering local cuisine and craft beers.
