From Buenos Aires, the most common way to reach Tigre is by train. Take the Mitre Line (Retiro-Tigre branch) from Retiro Station to Tigre Station, the last stop. Trains depart frequently, approximately every 20 minutes, and the journey takes about an hour. A Sube card is needed for payment. The cost is approximately $900-3200 ARS. From the Tigre train station, the fluvial station and boat tour operators are a short walk away.
Bus
Another option from Buenos Aires is to take bus line 60 from Constitución neighborhood. Look for the bus with a green 'Panamericana' sign for a faster trip. The journey can take 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. The basic fare is approximately 30 cents USD, payable with a Sube card. Bus lines 21 and 343 also connect Tigre with Liniers.
Taxi/Ride-Share
A taxi or ride-sharing service (such as Uber) from Buenos Aires to Tigre takes approximately 45 minutes, depending on traffic. The average cost for an Uber ride is around $19039 ARS. Taxis may be more expensive, and it's advisable to agree on a fare beforehand.
