The meadow is situated between two peaks, offering breathtaking views along the way. This route requires camping equipment and is best suited for experienced hikers. No costs are directly associated with accessing the meadow itself, but the multi-day trek involves logistical and equipment expenses.
Public Transport
To reach the general area of Mallín - Mate Dulce using public transport, take a bus from San Carlos de Bariloche to Colonia Suiza. Mi Bus operates in the area, but schedules can be limited, so check in advance. From Colonia Suiza, the approach to Mallín - Mate Dulce is on foot via established trekking routes. A SUBE card is needed for the bus, with fares around AR$2.25 to AR$4.45 depending on the distance. The trek from Colonia Suiza to the meadow requires significant time and preparation.
Taxi
A taxi or remise (private car) can take you from San Carlos de Bariloche to Colonia Suiza, the closest accessible point by road to Mallín - Mate Dulce. Taxis cost approximately AR$23 for the meter drop and AR$25 per mile. From Colonia Suiza, the final approach is on foot via trekking trails.
