Bus
To reach Túnel de Cacheuta via public transportation, start at the main bus terminal in Mendoza city, Terminal del Sol. Look for bus lines heading towards Cacheuta or Potrerillos, such as Line 173. The bus journey takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. A one-way ticket costs around ARS 150, but be sure to have cash on hand. From the Cacheuta bus stop, it's about a 3-kilometer walk west on Ruta Provincial 82 to the Túnel de Cacheuta. Alternatively, from the bus stop, a taxi or rideshare to the tunnel will cost approximately ARS 800-1200.
Car
If driving from Mendoza city, head west on Av. San Martín, which becomes Ruta Provincial 82 towards Cacheuta. Follow the signs for Potrerillos; the Túnel de Cacheuta is along the way. The drive takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Note that there may be tolls on the route, so have some change available. Parking near the tunnel is free.
