Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from the center of El Chaltén, head south on Avenida San Martín. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Route 23. Turn left onto Route 23 and drive for about 3 kilometers. Look for the sign indicating Capilla de los Austríacos on your right. There is a small parking area available.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Capilla de los Austríacos using public transportation, you can take a local taxi or a shuttle from El Chaltén. Head to the main square (Plaza San Martín) where you can find taxi services. Inform the driver that you want to go to Capilla de los Austríacos. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes and cost approximately 300-500 ARS, depending on your negotiation skills and the time of day.

• Walking

  For the adventurous, you can walk to Capilla de los Austríacos from El Chaltén. Start from the main square (Plaza San Martín) and walk south on Avenida San Martín. After about 3 kilometers, you will reach Route 23. Turn right and continue walking for another 1 kilometer until you see the chapel on your left. Be prepared for a scenic walk, but ensure you have comfortable shoes and enough water.
