Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are staying in El Chaltén, the Centro de Informes Turisticos is easily reachable on foot. Start from the main square (Plaza San Martín), located at the intersection of Avenida San Martín and Avenida Los Glaciares. From the square, head south on Avenida San Martín until you reach the intersection with Perito Moreno. Turn left onto Perito Moreno and walk for about 200 meters. The Centro de Informes Turisticos is located on the right at Perito Moreno N° 28.

  • Bicycle

    For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in El Chaltén. Head towards the main square (Plaza San Martín) and follow the same route as walking: cycle south on Avenida San Martín, then turn left onto Perito Moreno. The Centro de Informes Turisticos is about 200 meters down on your right. Ensure you have a lock for your bicycle as you may want to stop and explore the center.

    If you are driving, navigate to El Chaltén using the main route (Route 40). Once in El Chaltén, follow the signs to the main square (Plaza San Martín). Taxis are available at the terminal and will take you directly to Perito Moreno N° 28 for a small fare, usually around 200 Argentine Pesos.
