Bus

From the city center, head to the main bus terminal, Terminal de Ómnibus. You can take any local bus that goes towards the coast, such as lines 511, 512, or 513. Request to be let off at the stop nearest to Playa Varese, which is a well-known beach area. From there, walk towards the waterfront promenade, which will lead you directly to the harbor area. The walk will take approximately 15-20 minutes.
Public Transportation (Tram)

If you are near the Avenida Luro, look for the tram line that runs from there towards the coast. Board the tram that takes you towards the waterfront, and disembark at the last stop by the beach. Once you get off, walk along the beach promenade towards the left side, which will take you around 15 minutes to reach Puerto de Mar del Plata.
Walking

If you are staying near the central areas like Plaza Colón, you can simply walk towards the coastline. Head southeast on Avenida Luro until you reach the beach. Once you hit the sandy area, go right along the waterfront until you reach Puerto de Mar del Plata. The walk will take approximately 30 minutes, but you’ll enjoy the coastal views along the way.
Taxi

You can hail a taxi from anywhere in Mar del Plata. Simply request the driver to take you to Puerto de Mar del Plata. It is a well-known tourist destination, so they will be familiar with it. The journey should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
