Getting There

• Car

  If you are starting from the center of San Carlos de Bariloche, head west on Av. San Martín toward Av. De los Pioneros. Continue on Av. De los Pioneros for about 11 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 82. Turn left onto Route 82 (Circuito Chico) and continue for approximately 7 kilometers. Look for signs directing you toward Lago Morenito. You will see a small unpaved road that leads to the lake after a short distance. Parking is available near the lake, and no fees are required.

• Public Transportation

  From the main bus terminal in San Carlos de Bariloche, take a bus heading towards Colonia Suiza. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to the junction with Route 82. From there, you will need to walk about 2 kilometers along Route 82 until you see signs for Lago Morenito. Be prepared for a short walk on a gravel road leading to the lake. Ensure to check the bus schedule for return trips, as they may not be frequent.

• Hiking

  For the adventurous, you can hike to Lago Morenito from nearby trails. Start from the Colonia Suiza area, where trails are marked. Follow the signs that lead you through scenic paths until you reach Lago Morenito. The hike is about 5 kilometers and takes roughly 1.5 to 2 hours. Make sure to carry enough water and snacks, as there are no facilities along the route. Remember that hiking trails may have varying difficulties, so choose a route that matches your fitness level.
