Breathtaking Views at Mirador Lago Nahuel Huapi

Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from San Carlos de Bariloche, head west on Av. San Martín toward Av. 12 de Octubre. Continue onto Av. Bustillo (Route 66) along the shore of Lake Nahuel Huapi. After approximately 25 kilometers, you'll find the entrance to Nahuel Huapi National Park on your left. Enter the park and follow the signs for Mirador Lago Nahuel Huapi, which is about a 10-minute drive from the entrance. The road is well-maintained, but be cautious of wildlife crossing. There are no entrance fees for the park, but parking may be limited near the viewpoint.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Mirador Lago Nahuel Huapi using public transportation, take the bus from the central bus terminal in San Carlos de Bariloche. Look for buses heading towards Playa Bonita or Circuito Chico. The ride will take about 30-40 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop for Mirador Lago Nahuel Huapi. From the bus stop, it's a short 10-15 minute walk to the viewpoint. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited on weekends.

• Hiking

  For those looking for a more adventurous route, you can hike to Mirador Lago Nahuel Huapi from the Circuito Chico trail. Starting from the beginning of the Circuito Chico, head towards the Llao Llao Hotel and continue following the trail signs for Mirador Lago Nahuel Huapi. The hike is approximately 6 kilometers one way and takes about 1.5-2 hours. This trail offers beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Make sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring water.
