Villa Ocampo became her permanent residence in 1940 and a hub for intellectuals and artists from around the world. Notable visitors included Rabindranath Tagore, Igor Stravinsky, Le Corbusier, Albert Camus, and Jorge Luis Borges. The house contains a significant collection of art, furnishings, and Ocampo's personal library of 12,000 books.
