Getting There

Car
To reach Volcán de Cochiquito from Purmamarca by car, head southwest on Route 9. Continue for approximately 35 km until you reach the junction with Route 52. Take Route 52 towards the town of Tilcara. After about 10 km, you will reach Tilcara where you can refuel and grab some supplies if needed. From Tilcara, continue on Route 9 until you reach the town of Humahuaca. Once in Humahuaca, turn onto Route 73 towards the south. Follow this road for about 25 km, until you see the signs for Volcán de Cochiquito. Note that the road can be quite winding and unpaved in certain areas, so drive carefully.
