Boulevard San Martin: A Palm-Lined Promenade in Tigre

Boulevard San Martin, also known as Paseo Avenida Del Libertador General San Martín, is one of Tigre's most beautiful promenades. Located on Avenida Del Libertador General San Martin, it begins after crossing the Sacriste Bridge and extends for about 400 meters. The boulevard is characterized by its spectacular rows of old palm trees, believed to have originated from seeds brought by Domingo Faustino Sarmiento. However, some accounts suggest the palm trees were planted during the administration of Agustín García by the Germán Hammerer nursery.
